EU-Armenia Relations

On October 27, East Invest 2 Annual Partner Conference was first held in Armenia at the Double Tree by Hilton hotel, Yerevan. The East Invest 2 is a project founded by the EU in the framework of Eastern Partnership initiative. Since 2011, the RA Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the framework of EaP started to implement East Invest project. The aim of the project was to support BSOs as well as SMEs in the EaP countries by exchanging experience with relevant EU structures and establishing strong mutually beneficial ties.

RA Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Vache Gabrielyan opened the conference with a welcoming speech. Following, the President of RA CCI Mr. Martin Sargsyan valuing the importance of EU-Armenia relations pointed: “Special attention should be paid to the capacity building initiatives of the EU. This kind of comprehensive approach promotes long-term developments of institutions, positively affecting business environment in light of the EU experience”.

More than 100 BSO representatives from the EU as well as EaP countries were taking part in the conference. The first such conference was held in 2011 in Brussels, the second in 2012 in Kiev, then in Vilnius and in 2015 in Riga.
